More than a beach town
Quiet mornings near the marsh. Golf-cart neighborhoods. Room for a boat. A short ride to restaurants, schools, work, or the sand. The right area depends on how you want ordinary Tuesday afternoons to feel.
Why we built this
When we moved to the Grand Strand, there was no single place that helped us understand how the different communities really fit together. We pieced it together ourselves: which areas felt right, what daily life was actually like, what questions we should have been asking, and what mattered once the vacation feeling wore off.
Grand Strand Start Here is the resource we wish we had. Our goal is to make your move a little easier, give you the context to make better decisions, and help you feel comfortable before anyone asks you to buy anything.
And when you decide you are ready to look at homes, we can introduce you to a local real estate professional we trust, someone who already understands what matters to you because you started here.

Explore the coast
The Grand Strand is not one lifestyle. Start with the part of the coast that sounds most like you, then compare the communities inside it.
Myrtle Beach brings beach access, entertainment, healthcare, and airport convenience. Carolina Forest shifts inland toward planned neighborhoods, schools, and everyday services.
Explore Central Strand →Smaller beach-town streets, marsh life, boating, dining, healthcare, and a different rhythm from central Myrtle Beach.
Explore South Strand →Municipal beach neighborhoods, Intracoastal communities, golf, boating, and growing options toward Little River and the state line.
Explore North Strand →Go beyond the map
Learn what each name actually covers, how everyday life differs, and what to verify before you tour a home.
Compare the tradeoffs
These comparisons focus on the decisions that actually change daily life: beach access, neighborhood structure, driving patterns, housing feel, and the property-level questions worth verifying.
Grand Strand Watch
Area guides give you the long view. Grand Strand Updates tracks the changes that can affect how you compare communities, from development and roads to schools, insurance, flooding, and local life.
